These bearings are reasonably structured, easily used and widely applied. They are typically used to support radial loads and certain axial loads. They are featured by low friction coefficient and high limit speed compared with other types of bearings of the same size.
Deep groove ball bearings (bearings exclusively for rolling mills) are taken as auxiliary bearings of the drive end of rollers and bear some axial loads when the radial loads of rolling mills are supported by four (double) row cylindrical roller bearings. On the rolling mills without strict positioning accuracy, these bearings can also be used as positioning bearings. The axial internal clearance of these bearings is about 5-7 times of the radial internal clearance.
