Bearings of this kind are separable bearings, and shaft washer, race and cage, and roller components can be separately installed. These bearings can support larger double direction combined axial loads, but they cannot restrict the diameter phase displacement of shafts. ① These bearings are equipped with tapered rollers (the big end is spherical surface), and the rollers are guided by ribs. The design enables the top points of all tapers on the shaft ring and seat ring raceway surface and the rolling surface of rollers meet at one point of the bearing axis. ② The shaft rings of bearings of this kind fit the bearings, but axle sleeve, etc. must be used to localize the shaft ring due to the application of clearance fit.
Bearings of this type have the narrowest bearing width and smallest outer diameter compared with other types of axial positioning bearings (single and double row angular contact bearings, double row steep angle tapered roller bearings) under the condition of having the same axial loads.
