Bearings of this kind are separable bearings featuring four-point contact between steel balls and rings. These bearings can withstand radial loads, and axial loads from any direction or combined radial and axial loads. Bearings of this kind can limit bidirectional axial displacement of axis or case shell within the scope of axial internal clearance of bearings. At the time of back-to-back or face-to-face matching installation, there should be inner and outer spacer rings between two sets of bearings. The radial internal clearance is controlled through grinding the thickness of inner and outer grinding rings (or grinding the protrusion of the inner races of the two sets of bearings to achieve the purpose). There is pre-interference in installation to improve the loading capacity, rigidity and running accuracy of the whole set of bearings.
Paired bearings of this kind feature high running accuracy and accurate location, but complex installation and higher artificial requirement compared with double row angular contact ball bearings with double outer ring (inner ring).
Compared with deep groove ball bearings, bearings of this kind feature small axial internal clearance when the radial internal clearance is the same, larger loading capacity and higher limit speed, but their axial load bearing capacity is lower than that that of double row angular contact ball bearings with two-piece outer (inner) rings. There are two-piece outer ring and two-piece inner ring according to the installation requirement.
